a.jpgI woke up early this morning. I lay quietly, listening. The normal morning silence was broken by the sound of birds.  The sound of spring. I love spring. We cut down our crab apple tree last year, so I won’t have the show of white flowers, but we are planting a cherry tree in its place.

I can’t wait until the cherry tree is large enough to shower the lawn with white petals. It is so beautiful.  I love sitting outside. My gardens are cultured to give me a show of spring flowers, but most of the ’show’ is in August when the Dalhia’s and Canna Lillies bloom.

I spend most of my time on the patio in August. I’m thinking of getting a patio heater so I can remain outside longer.
